Noriko Kudoh, born in 1970 in Japan, is one of Japan's most popular children's book authors. When the Wild Cat series 野猫军团系列 (yě māo jun tuán xì liè) was published in China in 2019 and translated into Simplified Chinese by beloved children's author 彭懿， it became an instant hit.
The hilarious stories revolve around a crew of eight wild cats and Mr. 汪汪 (wāng wāng). Mr. 汪汪 owns a train, an airplane, a bakery, an ice cream factory and a sushi shop. Each story opens with the wild cats sneaking into Mr. 汪汪 's place and engaging in mischief that always leads to an explosion of food. In the end, the wild cats confess to Mr. 汪汪 and work hard to make it up. All stories end in happy, orderly scenes, but will the wild cats get into trouble again next time?
The text is brief and the illustrations are adorable. These stories will make your 3-6 year-olds giggle.
