In page after page of this tragically comic book, Viorst perfectly articulates the voice and perspective of a frustrated little sibling. With extreme exaggeration and keen insight into the minor milestones which define childhood (losing teeth, floating, being tall enough to reach a shelf, getting a shot without crying, etc.), she subtly reminds us how frustrating it can be to be little. Fortunately, as the narrator reassures us, everything will be better at age 6!
