Introducing some of our new favorite leveled reader books: 迪士尼学而乐我会自己读(dí shì ní xué ér lè wǒ huì zì jǐ dú) Disney Learning I Can Read Series. This set consists of the 24 books in levels 5-8, which round out this 8 level series. If your child has already enjoyed levels 1-4 of this series, they will keep learning with their Disney friends with levels 5-8! 

Each level of books is designed to build on the previous level's vocabulary, length of sentences and language complexity. The order of characters compliments the Chinese language curriculum used in schools in mainland China.

The Chinese character font in this set is just small enough to be readable by the YouDao Dictionary Pen!

This Disney Learning I can Read 24-book set (Level 5-8) covers 870 frequently used Chinese Characters, building on the 130 characters introduced in Level 3 & 4, and the first 100 characters introduced in Levels 1 & 2.  Before reading a book, children are encouraged to review a page that lists all the Chinese characters that will be covered in the particular book.   

The 24 Level 5-8 books cover 870 Chinese Characters. The last 2 levels of this series, Level 7 and Level 8, provide Pinyin to assist increasingly independent Chinese readers. 

All 24 books are readable by Luka, making this set an audiobook treasure for anyone who is learning to read Chinese. 

Transliterated names often do not fall into the book's frequent character list, they are printed in smaller fonts underneath an image of that Disney character to encourage children to focus on the frequently used Chinese vocabulary in large font. 

At the end of each book, there are interactive activity pages to help children review the characters they've learned.
